Today is not only 91 days until the Bruins are back in action but it’s also the start of Bruins development camp. The camp is basically a look at the future of the Bruins organization as B’s prospects show off their skills in hopes of someday making it to the pro team. There is one player in particular that the Bruins will have their eyes on making pro by regular training camp in September and that’s 19-year-old defenseman Dougie Hamilton.

Hamilton was drafted in 2011 in the first round as the ninth overall pick for the Bruins and he was drafted with high expectations. The 6-foot-6 player played in the OHL last season for the Niagra Icedogs. He was named OHL defenseman of the year leading all defenseman in scoring with 17 goals and 55 assists in 50 games.

With a season like that it would look like Dougie has nothing left to do but show off his skills in the NHL with the black and gold.

Here’s Dougie’s prospect video if you wanted to see him in action:

But if you’re looking for some more Hamilton in your life than you should make the trip to Wilmington and check him and the other prospect out in the Development camp this weekend!
